Unfortunately, it is like many other aspects of life. This will only work after someone killed or maimed or permanently bats will be banned. There is already enough evidence that the "reasonable person would forbid" their use.

Joking aside, it will wait for someone to kill or seriously hurt. MLB is a bad thing for procratination. Do not think that the fight against the steroid scandals, players over 10 years if they previously attempted. Now they all come out of the closet steroids. Maple bats have been used since at least 1997, but not many players. Since June 1998 there were at least two dozen players bats maple. That number has probably been in every year. It was a pile of broken maple bats. There were no deaths. Therefore, the chances of being killed by a maple bat is small.

I really do not think it should be banned. Everything you need to do is more resources to protect the fans and players to win to be able to use ash bats.
